Our Logo
Our logo symbolizes the journey of spiritual renewal and transformation, inspired by Christian contemplative ideals. The sun over deep waters reflects the illuminating presence of God’s grace, while the watery crucifixion signifies the release of ego, guiding us toward a deeper union with the divine. Encased within a classical aureola egg shape, it represents life and creation, embodying our mission to restore lives through faith. Project LVX, meaning ‘light’ in Latin, reflects the divine light transforming the soul, as envisioned by Christian mystics like St. Gregory of Nyssa and St. John of the Cross.
Mission Statement
Project LVX is dedicated to restoring lives through spiritual direction by equipping individuals and communities with a modern understanding of contemplative practices. We strive to train spiritual directors, support incarcerated individuals with transformative programs, and share contemplative wisdom through podcasts, fostering a renewed purpose and connection with the divine.
Vision for the Future
Project LVX envisions a global movement where contemplative faith heals brokenness, unites diverse Christian communities, and transforms societies. We aspire to see every individual embraced by God’s grace, living out a purposeful, spiritually directed life.
Our Heart and Mission
We are a faith-based contemplative Christian outreach serving southern Michigan and northern Indiana, and dedicated to restoring lives through authentic spiritual direction. Our mission is to guide individuals toward a deeper connection with God, grounded in timeless contemplative practices that foster true renewal through faith and inner transformation.
What Sets Us Apart
In a world filled with spiritual trends that often blend traditions into a shallow mix, we stand firm in the depth and integrity of classical spiritual formation. Our approach is ecumenical and draws on centuries of contemplative wisdom across Christian traditions, offering clarity and purpose through structured, faith-centered practices that lead to lasting change in heart, mind, and soul.
What We Do
We create spaces for authentic growth and transformation through three core initiatives:
- Workshops
- Our sessions invite participants to engage in dialogue about classic monastic writings or learning how to apply time-tested spiritual practices. We often explore the historical foundations of contemplation and flush out the details of how to live out faith daily, to foster genuine inner-renewal.
- Prison Ministry Outreach
- We bring hope to incarcerated individuals through programs that emphasize inner transformation. By teaching contemplative practices focused on behavior modification, we empower participants to use their time purposefully, breaking cycles of recidivism through faith and discipline.
- Podcasts
- Our podcast series shares stories, teachings, and conversations that inspire authentic spiritual growth. Each episode offers grounded wisdom and practical insights, inviting listeners to move beyond surface-level spirituality toward a deeper, faith-driven life.
Our Approach
We blend the richness of classical spiritual formation with a modern, accessible framework. Informed by rigorous study and contemplative practice, our work ensures authenticity and depth. We focus on disciplined, faith-based contemplation to guide individuals toward true transformation, emphasizing the internal processes of consciousness, but rooted in faith.
Our Vision
We envision a world where lives are restored through the power of authentic contemplation, where faith anchors personal and communal regeneration, and where individuals in all walks of life find purpose through spiritual direction. Every workshop, outreach program, and podcast episode moves us closer to that vision.
