The Solitary
The Solitary is the prison ministry outreach of Project LVX. It is dedicated to offering incarcerated men the opportunity to engage in spiritual disciplines that foster inner peace, reflection, and personal growth.
Rooted in the contemplative traditions of classical monasticism, The Solitary helps men rediscover their spiritual foundation, reconcile with their past, and find hope for a future filled with grace and purpose. Through the practices of prayer, meditation, silence, and reflection, we walk alongside each participant, guiding them toward healing and spiritual freedom in Christ—no matter their past or present circumstances.
What We Practice
In The Solitary, men are introduced to simple but profound contemplative disciplines, including:
- Periods of silence and stillness
- Guided contemplative meditation
- Prayer of the heart
- Reflective journaling
- Listening for the presence of God in the midst of confinement
These practices are not offered as techniques for self-improvement alone. They are invitations to encounter the living Christ and to allow His grace to begin reshaping the inner life.
Our Hope
We believe that God’s transformative power can reach anyone, anywhere—even behind prison walls. The Solitary exists to create space for that transformation: for men to experience dignity, hope, and the possibility of a new way of being in Christ.
