LVX is simply the Latin word for “light.” But in the Christian contemplative tradition, it carries far more weight. Mystics such as St. Gregory of Nyssa and St. John of the Cross spoke of a divine light that does not merely shine on the soul—it transforms the soul from within. This is not the harsh glare of performance or self-improvement. It is the gentle, penetrating light of Christ that reveals what is true, heals what is broken, and draws the heart into deeper union.
Project LVX exists to help people encounter that light in a noisy, distracted age. When we speak of “inner illumination,” we are not talking about vague spirituality. We are talking about the real possibility of the soul being lit from the inside by the presence of Christ.
